1. OBD Overall Loss Mode: directly read engine data from OBD
2. All Keys Lost (Dump Mode): disassemble the instrument for direct reading
3. All Keys Lost Mode 2 (Disassemble and Read the instrument): disassemble the instrument and read EEPROM chip data.

Note:
If there is an OBD method, try to read engine data via OBD.
If fails to read data from OBD directly, try AKL dump mode or AKL mode 2.

Use the third method “All Keys Lost Mode 2” to program VW 4th IMMO with NEC24C64 (2013)

X431 IMMO Elite with X-Prog3 Key Programmer

Main steps:
Step 1: Read Immobilizer data
Step 2: Generate dealer key
Step 3: Learn key

Procedure:
Select IMMO>> VW>> Anti-theft Key Matching>> All Keys Are Lost>> Automatic Detection Of Anti-Theft System
Pay attention to the prompt “Please insert the key or place the key near the key sensing area, and turn on the ignition switch to illuminate the instrument.” Click “OK” to continue.



Select All Keys Lost Mode 2 (Dismantle and Read the instrument)
It will show the process function. Click “Start” to perform the first step “Read Immobilizer data”.


Read the on-screen execution steps carefully


Remove the external EEPROM (Octagonal Chip) from the instrument, put it on the EEPROM socket and clamp it on the X431 X-Prog3 key programmer



Read EEPROM data and input file name for backup


After the data is restored, solder the EEPROM chip back to the original position of the instrument, install the instrument and click “OK” to proceed to the next step
The instrument panel has entered a black screen state which is a normal phenomenon. Please be patient and wait.
Reading anti-theft data, confirm to save the data with a new filename
After obtaining the anti-theft data, the instrument panel will enter a black screen state again, which is a normal phenomenon.
At the same time the anti-theft data will be read again.
Confirm the anti-theft information of the vehicle

Insert the key or place the key near the key sensing area, and turn on the ignition switch to illuminate the instrument
Restore the data successfully


Confirm to generate dealer key
Place the additional keys needed in the X431 GIII key programmer
Click “VW”
Generate key successfully


Confirm to match other key or not.
Here we only match one, so click “No”
Start to perform the third step “Learn key”
Confirm the key is not a smart key
Input the number of keys to be learned


Select “VW”
Follow the on-screen prompt to insert the key to be learned successively within 30 seconds and turn to “ON” position
Interval for changing key is less than 5 seconds for smart key. Place the key to be learned near the key sensing area, and press START button.
Now all steps are completed.
