(Solved) Launch X431 PAD VII “Serial Number Incompatible”
Problem:
After the recent update, Launch X431 Pad VII may appear the issue that the VCI no longer recognizes the device and cannot connect to vehicles using the “Intelligent Identification” option. However, it still connects via the manual search option. A message at the bottom of the screen reads: “Serial number incompatible, reload software.” How to reload the VCI update?
The solution:
This is a common issue. Try to solve it by the following steps:
Reboot the tablet.
Perform a firmware fix:
Go to User Info>> Fix Connector Firmware/System>> Select Fix Connector Firmware or Fix Connector System.
