Launch X431 Pro5 Online Programming Error N820 Solution
Problem:
When I used Launch X431 Pro5 to do online programming for VW or Renault vehicles, it appeared “N820" error and failed to download the ECU refresh file. Check the images below.
LaunchX431.fr engineer replied:
The X431 Pro5 only supports built-in online programming for Benz and BMW.
It does not support online programming for VW, Renault, or similar brands.
Online programming software cannot be purchased through the Launch Mall.
To program modules for VW, Renault, Nissan, JLR, Porsche, Subaru, Hyundai, and other brands, you will need advanced diagnostic systems such as:
Launch X431 PAD V
Launch X431 PAD VII
Launch X431 PAD IX
For comprehensive programming tasks, ensure you use the appropriate diagnostic system to avoid compatibility issues.
