How to Upgrade X-431 HD APP to X-431 APP on Launch X431 PAD V?
You need to uninstall X-431 HD APP first, and then install X-431 APP. The new app covers the same function as the old one but combines resources from the passenger car app into a single app. This makes it easier to use and allows for better interaction between functions.
Upgrade Steps:
Step 1: Uninstall X-431 HD APP
On the X-431 HD main interface, click “Back” button to exit the application
Click “^” icon to access the menu
Long press “X-431 HD” APP to uninstall it
Uninstallation is completed.
Step 2: Install X-431 APP
Go to APP Init
The device automatically obtains the 12-digit device serial number
Confirm the SN info according to the X431 tool password envelope, and click “OK” to download and install X-431 APP
After installation, press the “Back” button again to exit the program
Open the “X-431” APP
Follow the prompts to allow X-431 to access the device’s location, photos, manager you device, permit drawing over other apps, etc
Enter the device SN to obtain the correct product info.
Finally, it will turn to X-431 PAD5 LINK HD interface
Log in with your account number and password
Then the X-431 HD APP is upgraded to X-431 APP successfully.
Note:
X431 PAD V Elite supports gasoline cars and diesel heavy-duty trucks with Launch SmartLink C (need to purchase heavy-duty truck software license and adapters).
