Launch X431 PAD V Register TPMS ID for Nissan Sentra 2024 B18


This guide demonstrates how to perform Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) ID Registration on a 2024 Nissan Sentra B18 using the Launch X431 PAD V Elite.
 
When to Perform TPMS ID Registration?
  • Replacement of Body Control Module (BCM)
  • Replacement of any TPMS sensor
  • Presence of relevant Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
 
Step-by-Step Procedure:
1. Connect the Diagnostic Device
  • Turn the vehicle ignition ON (engine off).
  • Connect the X431 PAD V to the vehicle's diagnostic port.
 
2. Scan Vehicle Systems
  • Launch the Nissan diagnostic software (version V44.70 or later).
  • Navigate as follows:
    Manually Select → North America → American Samoa → SENTRA → B18 → 02/2024–
  • Tap [Smart Detection] to perform a full system scan.


3. Read Fault Codes
  • From the system list, select [Engine Control Module (ECM)].
  • Tap [Read Fault Code] to view any existing DTCs.


 
4. Register TPMS Sensor IDs
  • Return to the previous menu and tap [WORK SUPPORT].
  • Select [ID Regist].

     
  • Tap [Start] to initiate the registration process.

     
  • Confirm by tapping [OK] when prompted.

At this stage, all TPMS IDs will appear as “Inactive.”
  1. Front Left (FL)
  2. Front Right (FR)
  3. Rear Right (RR)
  4. Rear Left (RL)
  • Wait for each sensor status to change to “Registered.”
  • After registration, tap [Stop] to exit the registration screen.

5. Clear Fault Codes
  • Navigate back and select [Clear Fault Code] from the function menu to erase any related DTCs.


 
6. Verify Operation
  • Recheck DTCs to ensure no faults remain.
  • Perform a road test and confirm that the tire pressure readings display correctly on the vehicle’s infotainment or control screen.
