Launch SmartLink HD Truck Module Activate Commercial Vehicle Privileges Guide
If your LAUNCH X431 SmartLink C 2.0 HD Truck Module appears in the message “This serial number has not activated the commercial vehicle privilege” for the first time using it. This means s the SmartLink HD module has not yet been activated and requires activation using an X431 diagnostic tool. Follow the steps below to complete the process.

Ensure an active internet connection.

Open the X-431 app on the device.

Navigate to [User Info] in the app.

Locate the [Activate VCI] section.

Enter the SmartLink Serial Number and Activation Code (both can be found on the product packaging; see the instructions below the menu bar for reference).

Submit the information to activate the module.
Once completed, the commercial vehicle privileges for your Launch X431 SmartLink HD will be activated and ready for use.
