How to Do Cylinder Deactivation Compression on ISUZU HD by Launch X431 PAD V?

Launch X431 PAD V Elite with SmartLink C can execute cylinder deactivation compression on ISUZU HD. Launch Heavy Duty Truck Software Authorization and Adapters Package is required, so it can perform the same function as Launch X431 PAD5 LINK HD.

Two operation paths are available for this process.
By Local Diagnosis and Service Function

Path 1: by Local Diagnosis
Select Local Diagnosis>> Manufacturer>> Isuzu>> HD_ISUZU diagnostic software (V16.70 or later)>> OK



Select Truck>> Global (Expert North American)>> VIN Search>> OK


Select Australia 2
Confirm the vehicle info


Select 4JJ1-TC
Confirm the vehicle info
Select Actuation Test>> Injector Cutoff


Path 2: by Service Function
Select Service Function>> Cylinder deactivation compression>> TO DIAGNOSE


Select Isuzu>> HD_ISUZU diagnostic software (V16.70 or later)>> OK


Select Global (Expert North American)>> Engine>> Cylinder Balance Test
Pay attention to the prompts:
Functions only during engine run!
Click “OK”
Click on “Injector 1”, and then click on “OFF”
Then the value will turn to “OFF” at the same time.
